Lind and Lime is an excellent, sustainably produced Edinburgh gin with so much more to it than a balanced taste of juniper, lime, and pink peppercorns. Because there is a lot of history in every single bottle. The story begins in 1716 with the birth of a Scottish hero whom hardly anyone knows: Dr. James Lind. Lind was a surgeon and ship’s doctor in the Royal Navy and was responsible for the enormous increase in the life expectancy of British sailors. He discovered a method of treating scurvy. Citrus fruits played an important role in the form of therapy he developed. Hence the name of the product: Lind and Lime.
